Prime Minister Mr. Edward Heath today sent this personal telegram to Abridge Rural Council chairman John Walter: “I was appalled to hear of the loss received by Axbridge and district as the result of today’s tragic air disaster. I feel this loss more personally because of my visit to the village in March of last year. Please convey my sincere sympathy to the relatives of those who lost their lives.”
